An SSD also protects better against potential damages caused by bumps, drops, and dust and boots more quickly than the standard HDD, making the DataLocker DL3 FE SSD a must-have for mobile users with fast-paced travel demands. SSD Highlights: 512 GB capacity Withstands heavily humid conditions Operating temperature:32F to 158F (0C to 70C) Virtually silent with no moving parts Shock and vibration resistent The DL3 FE SSD (FIPS Edition) sets a new standard for encrypted portable storage.

The DL3FE is the worlds first external hard drive utilizing 2 pass, cascading encryption. The DL3 FE SSD utilizes two independent crypto engines each using a random, unique 256 bit keys to encrypt your data first with 256 bit AES XTS mode algorithm and then sequentially with the 256 bit AES CBC mode algorithm.

Each bit of stored data is encrypted twice with two independent keys which never leave your device.
